SO YOU WANNA BUILD A REAL ESTATE TEAM?

So you wanna build a real estate team? Good luck!

I want to give you one advice, that I believe will help you with this. Most agents have this desire to build a real estate team and one of the first things they do is they bring on buyers agents. Here's where they make a mistake… I've coached over 5000 agents and I noticed over the time that one of the biggest things they were missing was a plan.

 

 Do you have a plan? And what I mean by that is, do you have a bulletproof solid plan when you bring someone on? And here's what a bulletproof solid plan means to me. When you bring in buyers agents you usually say: “Welcome to the team. It's gonna be awesome!” .And they reply “I love this. It’s gonna be so wonderful! What do I do?” 

Here's what most of the agents answer: “You could do anything,” right? You can do open houses, you can call database...etc” . They give them all these options. But here's the problem, it's too much. People want to be led... People want to be led, get this. 

 

So, here's my request. If you want to start bringing people in and having success right off the bat, you got to be able to look them in the eye, you got to be able to say: "Here is the plan. If you follow this plan this year, the next 12 months, you'll be able to make $100,000, $60,000 or 200,000 whatever it is for you”. Now, is it a clear well laid out plan? You gotta have that. 

 

My challenge for you is to figure out and be able to articulate what is your plan. And by plan I mean, one year that's broken down to daily actions you have to do every day, each week, each month each year so at the end, you're going to be able to make $150,000. This is your bulletproof plan. 

 

If you can't do that, you shouldn't be building a team. You need to build that up before you start bringing team members in and giving them too many options. I promise you this is one of the biggest mistakes I see even big teams make. So, If you want to work on this, we will be able to write out a detailed plan, broken down by what they need to do each day, each week to have an incredible year. There are too many people out there building real estate teams without having clearly laid out plans. They don't want to take time to dive in and figure out what that it will look like for their individuals to make a certain amount of transactions a year.
